We are a local non-profit organisation dedicated to the welfare of companion animals in the Tūrangi Basin.
We provide shelter for kittens and cats in need, care for community animals through our desexing programmes, and offer the wider community practical advice and support in responsible animal care.
Clicking on a pet below will take you to our Shelter Manager account where you can learn more about each animal.
We help kittens & cats find safe, loving homes, providing care, support, and a second chance for every animal in need.
Whether it’s a lost animal, behaviour question, or finding the right resources, we’re here to offer friendly advice and support.
We care for community cats by humanely trapping, desexing, and returning them to their home turf to stop the cycle of unwanted litters. If you care for community cats, get in touch to see if you’re eligible for our TNR programme.
We offer subsidised vouchers to make desexing more accessible for our community. Funding comes from grants and is subject to availability, helping ensure that every cat has the chance to be healthy and prevent unwanted litters.
Our mission is to prevent cruelty, relieve suffering, and support animal welfare through advocacy, education, rehoming, and community desexing initiatives.
We’re always looking for extra hands at the centre, friendly faces to run fundraisers, organised people for admin, and loving homes for foster care. However you pitch in, you’ll be making life better for animals in need.
