Welcome to Animal Care Tūrangi, a dedicated volunteer-run animal welfare centre based in the heart of Tūrangi.
Since our inception, our mission has stayed unchanged: to offer a safe haven for animals that are lost, abandoned, sick or injured, while fostering responsible pet ownership throughout the community.
We are a small but passionate team of volunteers committed to giving every animal that comes through our doors the care, attention and compassion they deserve. Last year we cared for over 150 animals, providing shelter, medical attention, affection and most importantly, the opportunity for a fresh start.
Every animal should be treated with dignity and given the opportunity to flourish.
We work not just with animals but with people: promoting desexing, micro-chipping and responsible pet practices so our four-legged friends have the best possible lives.
We rely on the generosity of our local community, donations, and volunteers to continue our work. We are a registered charity (CC23228) and every contribution helps make a real difference.
